THE Antonine Wall will feature in a major new exhibition at the refurbished Hunterian Museum in Glasgow.
Visitors will be able to discover the secrets of the World Heritage Site, which runs through Bearsden, from today.
The Antonine Wall: Rome’s Final Frontier is located in the museum’s entrance gallery. Among the exhibits will be a fountainhead found in Bearsden.
Bible writing event
A NEW project to mark the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible takes place in Milngavie on Tuesday.
The People’s Bible invites people to write out two verses of the Bible.
All local churches are supporting this initiative. If you’d like to take part go along to the tent near the clock in Milngavie Precinct between 10am and 5pm
Outdoors fest launch
THE first Great Outdoors Festival is launched this week by the council.
It evolved from the Mugdock Walking Festival, to offer an array of outdoor activities for everyone.
