Annual golf event was a ‘hole’ lot of fun

Despite wind and heavy rain everyone who took part in Breast Cancer 2000’s annual golf event at Buchanan Castle Golf Club in Drymen enjoyed a fun day out.

This extremely popular event on Friday, June 5 started with breakfast before the shotgun start and lunch with prize giving following the game.

The winning team, whose score was well beyond all others, included MB Aerospace - Craig Hyslop, Craig Gallagher, Bill Young and Alastair Hillis.

Nearest the pin for gents only was won by Richard Britton and longest drive for gents was won by Scott Hamilton with Anne Mills winning ladies longest drive.

This year there was fierce competition for the prize for the best dressed team, with the ladies team winning.

The event raised around £8,000, which will go the the West of Scotland Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow.

BC 2000 would like to thank all those who contributed to the day, whether taking part or helping, all the sponsors, all the staff at BCGC, for ensuring everything went so well and of course all those who generously donated the amazing prizes.
