An array of local festive fayres for all the family

Get into the festive mood, pick up some unique Christmas gifts and raise money for some great causes by going along to a local Christmas fayre.

Westerton Parish Church’s Guild is holding their event on Saturday, November 30 from 2pm to 4pm.

This is a great opportunity to browse the many stalls including soft goods, jewellery, home-baking, toiletries and plants. A special Christmas stall will also be available and the opportunity to enjoy afternoon tea and catch up with news in the parish.

Or you could pick up some early presents at Mosshead Primary School PTA’s Christmas fayre on Wednesday, November 27.

The event at the school on Stockiemuir Road in Bearsden runs from 7pm to 9pm. There will be lots of fantastic stalls with gifts you won’t find on the high street and a raffle. Tickets cost £2 on door.

Baljaffray Primary PTA is holding its annual Christmas fayre on Friday, November 29 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the school.

It promises to be a fun filled festive evening. Go and meet Santa, enjoy some Christmas shopping, take part in the tombola and raffle, sample tasty treats from the chocolate fountain and be entertained by Baljaffray school choir and band. Entrance costs £2 per adult, £1 per child/concession and £5 for a family ticket. All money raised goes to Baljaffray PTA funds.

Killermont Primary School in Bearsden is having its Christmas fair on Saturday, December 7.

The PTA-organised event takes place between 10am and 1pm and there will be a whole host of fun activities.

Visitors will be able to have a go at the tombola and browse the craft and jewellery stalls.

Local shops have also donated some fantastic raffle prizes. Best of all, entry to the event is free!

And last but not least St Andrew’s Primary PTA is running a Christmas Fair to celebrate St Andrew’s Day in the school on Saturday, November 30 from 10am until 12 noon. All welcome. As well as a large selection of stallholders, there will also be lots of fun and games for the children and a Santa’s Grotto.
