A LARGE party of cadets from the school enjoyed a full programme of adventurous activities on the Isle of Arran during the Easter holidays.
In addition to hillwalking expeditions and kayaking, the cadets learnt how to abseil, cross rivers and cope with a variety of arduous situations.
When not up in the hills or out on the water, everyone mucked in with the unglamorous background chores of cooking and cleaning in the self-help camp.
At the end tired bodies and dirty kit made their way back to Kelvinside Academy with happy memories of the great outdoors Arran-style.
A smaller group of sea cadets also attended the Royal Navy Easter camp at Waterside Lodge, Southport from Monday, April 19 to Friday 23.
In addition to sailing, the cadets completed team building exercises, orienteering challenges, kayak and power boat lessons.
