Families enjoyed dancing the night away at a ceilidh in Bearsden Burgh Hall recently to raise money for Mosshead Primary School in Bearsden.
The event, which was organised by the school’s PTA for the second year running, was a huge success and raised £1,800 for the school.
There was a live ceilidh band called Anvil playing on the night as well as a licensed bar, pizzas supplied by Dominos, hot dogs, snacks and raffle prizes.
A parent from the school, Annabelle Robertson, said: “All of our 250 tickets sold out and everyone had a great time.
“It’s wonderful that the amount we raised is up on last year and we’d like to thank everyone who supported the event.
“We also gave the school cheques for £7,000 recently.
“One was for £5,000 for playground equipment and the other cheque was for £2,000 will pay for outside groups/companies to come in and provide fun learning experiences for all year groups.
“We are delighted to have had such successful fundraising in recent times and hope that we will be able to continue to support Mosshead Primary in providing our children with a fantastic school experience for many years to come.”
