WE are always thinking of our readers and we don’t want our recent office move to Kirkintilloch to cause too much of an inconvenience.

That’s why we’ve put a post-box for letters, competition entries and Under £100 adverts for the paper into The Iron Chef hardware and kitchen supplies shop in Milngavie precinct.

The shop on Mugdock Road, near Creature Comforts pet shop, is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and you will find the box fixed to the side of the desk next to the till.

The owner of The Iron Chef, Gilbert McVean, said: “I’m delighted to be able to provide a drop-off point for readers of Milngavie and Bearsden Herald.

“It’s important that the paper retains a local presence and I’m happy to be able to help with that.”

All mail for the next edition of the paper must be delivered by 5pm on a Monday.

WE’VE GOT MAIL . . . community reporter Laura Sturrock with Gilbert McVean and the box which wil be available for dropping off post for Milngavie and Bearsden Herald. (Ref: m30711 and b)
