Win Keeping Up Appearances tickets

HYACINTH likes to be called Bouquet — but the spelling of her name is, of course, Bucket.

And there is a bucket load of laughs to be had in the stage version of the hilarious hit TV sitcom Keeping up Appearances which plays the Theatre Royal between Monday, September 7 and Saturday 11.

And your Herald has teamed with the organisers to offer readers the chance to win a pair of tickets for the September 7 show.

The audience is invited to one of Hyacinth's famous soirees in the company of sisters Rose and Daisy, brother-in-law Onslow, and neighbours Elizabeth and Emmet in this hysterical play by Roy Clarke.

Emmet is directing a play for the local amateur dramatic company and will go to extreme measures to keep Hyacinth out of it.

However, Hyacinth is showing her new painting, Willow by Moonlight at the art exhibition there and when she hears that the part of Lady Malvern is yet to be cast then nothing will stop her.

However, nothing is ever that simple and a case of mistaken identity has hilarious consequences.

The brilliant Rachel Bell of Darling Buds Of May plays Hyacinth and with Gareth Hale of Hale and Pace as Onslow, Kim Hartmen aka Helga from Allo, Allo as Elizabeth, Brookside's Steven Pinder as Emmet, Debbie Arnold of Eastenders as Rose this promises to be one of the comedy highlights of the season.

As well as the Monday to Saturday 7.30pm performances there are two meatines on Thursday and Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets costing 16 to 24 are available from the Box Office on 08448 717 647.

For your chance to win tickets, make sure you get your hands on a copy of this week's Milngavie and Bearsden Herald, which is in shops now.
