Win dinner for two at partners

PARTNERS Bistro in New Kirk Street, Bearsden, has just had a total facelift and to celebrate the new look owners Iain McMaster and Andy Hull are offering readers of the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald a chance to win a fabulous meal for two and a complimentary glass of wine.

The Bistro has a new executive chef, Daniel Hollern, who has a passion for fresh and wild food and his use of the best and freshest ingredients is reflected in the exciting new menu.

Iain and Andy set up Partners with a mission to offer great, modern and accessible food to their customers at a decent price and the new menu in Bearsden delivers on that promise.

Choose from starters including poached egg ravioli, shaved asparagus and parmesan, white truffle dressed leaves and hollandaise sauce or tempura of king prawns with an apple and avocado salsa and marie rose dressing.

Mains of roast halibut, crushed peas, potato gallete with a chive and caviar beurre blanc or for the vegetarians, Partners' homemade gnocchi with sauted brown beech mushrooms, wild garlic and parmesan veloute.

The range of mouth-watering puds such as cherry bakewell or a scummy chocolate roulade with fresh vanilla and cointreau cream rounds the meal off beautifully.

The pre-theatre menu is excellent value at only 11.95 for two courses or 15.95 for three. Featuring signature dishes from the a la carte menu, it's available every day from midday until last orders at 6.30pm.

For your chance to win the meal see your copy of this week's Milngavie and Bearsden Herald.
