May the farce be with you
HOLLYWOOD husband and wife Maxwell Caulfield and Juliet Mills head up an all-star cast in Peter Hall's critically acclaimed production of Alan Ayckbourn's Bedroom Farce at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow in August.
Milngavie and Bearsde has a pair of tickets to be won for the show.
Trevor and Susannah have a problem relationship which requires urgent attention. What better solution than to talk it over with family and friends? Preferably in their respective bedrooms and ideally in the middle of the night.
Inevitably, one problem relationship tends to spark off another. When you have friends like Trevor and Susannah, nobody gets much sleep.
Award-winning actress Juliet Mills, daughter of John Mills/Mary Hayley Bell and sister of Hayley Mills, leads the tour de force cast alongside her husband Maxwell Caulfield.
Highlights of Juliet's prolific career include playing the lead in the American hits Nanny and the Professor, Passions, The Other Sister and Billy Wilder's Avanti! which saw her nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress.
She has also found stage and screen success in the UK with numerous leading roles in the West End, featuring in British comedies Carry On, Jack and Oh, What a Lovely War! and most recently performing alongside her sister in the hit ITV series Wild At Heart.
Maxwell is best known for his iconic roles in Dynasty, The Colbys, and Grease 2 alongside Michelle Pfeiffer, and starring for several years in the UK in Holby City, Casualty and Emmerdale, in which he played smooth-talking millionaire Mark Wylde whose dramatic demise sparked one of the biggest storylines of the year which continues to this day. He is also noted for Broadway and West End appearances in An Inspector Calls and Chicago, and it was on the stage that he and Juliet first met, during a national tour of The Elephant Man in 1980.
The cast also includes Bruce Montague, renowned stage and screen actor whose credits include Butterflies, Keeping Up Appearances and Doctors; Clare Wilkie, TV regular who played Sandra Di Marco in Eastenders, Oliver Boot, a prolific theatre actor whose TV credits include Holby City, Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps and Hotel Babylon, Julia Mallam and Ayden Callaghan who are best known for their roles as Dawn Woods and Miles De Souza respectively in ITV's Emmerdale and Natasha Alderslade from the BBC Christmas drama The Day of the Triffids.
