Lovely Lisa looking for your Uber Girl 2009 vote

GORGEOUS Lisa Barclay from Milngavie has joined the two other beauties from Bearsden who are hoping to be the modelling face of 2010.

Lisa (23), a trained beauty therapist who works in an accountants office but is keen to break into modelling, is now through to the sixth round of Uber Girl 2009 — Scotland's biggest modelling competition, along with Charlene McCallum (23) and Kirsty Dixon (19), both featured in previous issues of the Herald.

This is Lisa's first modelling competition and only one girl from the thousands who entered can win the ultimate prize of a 10,000, an exotic photo-shoot and to feature in the Uber Girl 2010 calendar.

The former Douglas Academy pupil said: "Thousands of entrants were narrowed down to 2,500 and there are now about 400 left.

"From these they will be whittled down further to the top 10 by a public vote before the final on August 8.

"I'm surprised I've got this far, but I've had some great support from my friends and family.

The competition is now very tight and I'm hoping that my local community will back me up with their votes."

Lisa will be campaigning votes along with all the other beauties at a night in Glasgow's Jumpin Jaks night club on June 19. The theme is Moulin Rouge.

All the girls will be looking for text votes to keep them in the next round of the competition which closes on Monday. The bottom 5 per cent of girls are eliminated each week.

To vote for Lisa text UBER 48 to 63333.
