Bearsden’s Garscube Harriers were impressed by a new running track opened at Huntershill Estate in Bishopbriggs.
The club was among a host of athletics groups that used the new facilities.
These facilities included a 423-yard cinder track, which was used by Garscube rivals Springburn Harriers as their home training ground.
Other facilities included a new clubhouse and space for field events, high jumping, long jumping and football.
The track was built after an agreement between Springburn Harriers and the Lanarkshire Ninth District Council.
The district council asked the club to hand over their ground in return for building the track.
