Daniel’s big role in Wee Man

A TALENTED young actor from Bearsden plays the lead role in a film about a former Glasgow gangland figure which goes on general release on January 18.
Daniel Kerr (12), a Bearsden Academy pupil, landed this major part after joining Scream Management Kids agency two years ago.
He will play a young Paul Ferris in the sixties-based movie which is called The Wee Man and is directed by the Silver Rose award-winning director Ray Burdis (Love, Honour and Obey) and producer of The Krays.
Brought up in the notorious area of Blackhill, Glasgow, Ferris, the son of decent, hardworking, parents learns that life on the street is tough.
With an all-star cast boasting names such as Martin Compston, Denis Lawson, John Hannah, Laura McMonagle, Clare Brogan, Stephen McCole, Rita Tushingham and Patrick Bergin, this Carnaby International Feature Film follows Paul Ferris’s journey from childhood to manhood.
Daniel also features in ITV’s Great Night Out with Ricky Tomlinson, Will Ash, Craig Parkinson and Lee Boardman which starts tomorrow (Friday, January 11) at 9pm.
