BATMAN is back in one of the most anticipated films of the summer, "The Dark Knight" — and to celebrate the Herald has teamed up with the Glasgow Science Centre to offer one lucky reader the chance to see this all action flick.
"The Dark Knight", which is released on Friday, July 25, will feature six sequences filmed with IMAX cameras — and this marks the first time ever that a major feature film has been partially shot using IMAX cameras, marking a revolutionary integration of the two film formats.

With a screen bigger than a five-a-side football pitch and a digital 12,000 watt sound system, the IMAX shows films that will amaze and astound you — making it the only way to fully experience "The Dark Knight" this summer.

In "The Dark Knight", which also stars the late Heath Ledger, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Gary Oldman, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime.

With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining critical organisations that plague Gotham's streets.

The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified Gotham residents as the Joker.

The lucky winner of our competition will not only receive tickets for a family of four to see "The Dark Knight" at the IMAX but they will also have access to the Science Mall and Planetarium.

They will get to explore hundreds of exhibits in the Science Hall where they can participate in live science shows and sit back and relax under the stars in the unique ScottishPower Planetarium.

Get this week's Herald for full competition entry details.
