A FORMER Bearsden girl hopes to have the chance to be a runaway bride – but it's all in aid of her winning a dream wedding.
Kathryn McLaughlin (25), who now lives in Leicester, is one of five finalists in a radio competition which will chose the two women with the highest votes to go through to a 'Challenge Anneka' style final.

If she gets your on-line vote, the former Bearsden Academy pupil will have two days to get as far away from Leicester as possible.

During the task, Kathryn will wear a wedding dress and she will have only £100 continguency money, a mobile phone and little else.

Kathryn's mum Tricia McLaughlin, who stays in Bearsden, said: "It would be great if all Kathryn's friends, acquaintances and anyone else who would like to see a local girl win, could vote for her."

If you want to help our girl win, visit www.leicestersound.co.uk and select Runaway Bride – and give Kathryn and her future husband Jo the dream wedding.
