Ciaran gets to clown around with Zippo's Circus

HERALD competition winner Ciaran Harkness from Drumlin Drive, Milngavie, in the middle of clowns Papino (left) and Alex.
Ciaran won our competition to be a clown for the day with Zippo's Circus when it was in Milngavie at the weekend.

He received coaching from professional clowns in the circus, had his make-up done and appeared in the circus ring in one of the performances.

His dad Graham said: "Ciaran had a fantastic time and absolutely loved the experience. It does of course also mean I can call him a clown now and get away with it.

"Thanks very much to the paper and Zippo's."

Ciaran (12) also got to take home his very own red nose so that he can practise being a clown at home.
