Rhona on the march against wind turbines

TOM Weir’s widow, 92-year-old Rhona, joined a protest march against wind turbines in Perth recently.

She joined about 450 people from all over Scotland at the South Inch.

Sally Page from Stop Loch Lomond Wind Turbines, said: “Rhona was the oldest and smallest person there but she hit her spoon so hard against her biscuit tin that she broke it!

“We marched from the Inch to outside the concert hall with Julia Cross from Drymen singing through the loud hailer to encourage us.

“Speeches were made against the SNP’s energy policy and protesters tried to engage with delegates, sometimes they were interested but, there was a good deal of telling us where to go,”
