Pupils hand over cheque to Yorkhill Children’s Hospital

Members of Bearsden Academy’s charity committee presented Erin McCrossan from Yorkhill Children’s Hospital (right) with a cheque for £225 last week.
The pupils, inspired by Mean Girls, raised the cash by selling candy canes with a message attached to them for their friends. A total of 300 were sent - delivered by three committed Santas, Ross Greer, Tommy Hay and Alex Bartholomew, right up until the last moment.
Glen Coco appeared to be the most popular pupil - receiving four candy canes.
