Milngavie Christmas tree festival on all week

Milngavie’s annual Christmas Tree Festival kicked off on Saturday with a performance in St Paul’s Church by the Milngavie Juvenile Pipe Band.

As well as a packed programme of music until Friday, December 7 the annual event, which is now in its fifth year, will feature a spectacular display of Christmas trees, decorated by local groups and organisations to raise cash.

The chosen charities this year are Mary’s Meals, which provides meals to some of the most impoverished children in developing countries and local organisation Way Ahead, which provides physiotherapy to people who have suffered a stroke.
