Help raise cash for Crossroads by buying art in Balfron
WORK by local artists is going to up for sale at a fundraising exhibition in art4youScotland studio in Balfron Station next month.
The event at Ballochruin Farm, in the first weekend of February, will raise money for Scottish Crossroads, which supports carers and their families across west Stirlingshire.
The exhibition opens on Friday, February 1 at 7pm with an evening reception with wine and canapés and continues the following day (Saturday) from 10am till 4pm.
Maggi Allan, Crossroads fundraising co-ordinator for Balfron, said: “This new art4youScotland initiative is a great addition to Crossroads’ other regular fundraising projects and will enable us to fund the increasing demand for support for carers in the West Stirlingshire area.”
Ewen Duncan owner and artist at art4youScotland added:”We hope plenty of people come along so we can raise much-needed funds and raise more awareness about the charity.”
A range of art work by local artists will be available to buy and a silent auction will also take place during the weekend exhibition. Romma Clemments, a Crossroads fundraising co-ordinator for Gartmore, who attends art classes at art4youScotland came up with the idea of a fundraising exhibition.
