Douglas Park Golf Club hosts a brilliant Burns supper
DOUGLAS Park Golf Club in Bearsden held a very successful Burns Supper to celebrate the poet’s birthday.
At the top table were David Kinniburgh, Margaret Stewart, Walter Sneddon, Club Captain Ian Letford, Sandy Strang, Margaret Morris, Andy Morris and Colin McEwen.
More than 100 people attended event and Ian welcomed the guests and introduced the top table.
Club member Calum Ross piped in the haggis for the 35th year in a row and past captain Colin McEwen gave the address to the haggis. This was followed by a number of excellent speeches.
Vice captain David Sharpe gave the vote of thanks. Ian said: “This was another excellent Burns night here at Douglas Park which was enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks go to all the staff and organisers for another successful evening”.
