GIFTED musicians from Bearsden Young Fiddlers are holding an open evening at Cairns Church Hall, Buchanan Street, Milngavie on Sunday February 24 between 3-3.45pm.

The Bearsden Young Fiddlers were formed in 2000 by conductor Angela Franchi and are made up of young musicians with an interest in playing traditional Scottish music.

The group rehearse from the end of August until November with one final concert at the end that month.

Youngsters who have an interest in joining the group aged 10-16 years, who play the violin, accordion or guitar and are grade 2 or above are welcome to come along to the open evening with a parent or guardian, listen to the music and meet and chat with organisers.

Refreshments will also be served. The event is free of charge. To reserve a place call secretary Barbara MacLeod on 0141 569 7356.
