Award for Fleet footed council
DESPITE tough competition the council has won the title of Local Authority Fleet Operator of the Year 2013.
East Dunbartonshire’s fleet team bagged the prestigious award last Friday at the Transport News Scottish Awards, an annual event celebrating innovation and good practice across the transport sector.
Councillor Alan Moir, convener of development and infrastructure, said: “The Local Authority Fleet Operator of the Year Award is recognition for all the hard work that goes into managing, procuring and maintaining a fleet of vehicles which support the wide range of front line services provided by the council.”
