PARTICK THISTLE bounced back with a 2-1 win over Ross County at Firhill on Saturday.
The visitors were hoping to put pressure on table-toppers Dundee whose match against Raith Rovers was postponed.
But it was Jags - seemingly out of the First Division title race - who took all three points.
Liam Buchanan opened the scoring in the 31st minute and Bryan Hodge added a second in the 53rd minute.
Substitute Andrew Barrowman pulled a goal back in the 75th minute but Thistle stayed on top for a deserved victory
