FOUR members of Glasgow Nightingale Cycling Club smashed two club records that had stood for 14 years on Sunday.
Graeme Cockburn (44), from Milngavie, recorded his fastest time ever of 21 minutes 16 seconds in the Royal Albert 10 mile time trial at Cambusbarron near Stirling to help his team — including Jeremy Greengrass (22.02) and Steven Anderson (23.22) — set a new club team record of one hour 6.4 seconds.
A
nd fellow club member Sarah Gleave, from Buchlyvie, finished in 24 minutes 31 seconds to smash the female club record also set more than a decade ago.

The Torrance based club members raced in what were idea conditions.
Graeme said: "For the club to break two records in the same day is just unbelievable.

"It was a pan flat course with near perfect conditions which meant fast times were hoped for and the 'Gales didn't disappoint."
The next target for the club this weekend is the Tour of the Whang, near Harthill, which is the fourth round of the Super 6 series.
